DEER CREEK HARMONY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
WELCOME !
Harmony Deer Creek Presbyterian Church was built in 1837 to replace the previous smaller church to accomodate the large number of people moving into this area.
The
original building was a frame structure located just north of the current stone building which you see on our home page. The stone church was built at a cost of $694.25 and the first service was held on October 13, 1837 by Reverend William Finney. It is listed in the National Historic Register and is a Harford County Historic Site.
An addition (below) was constructed in 1965 to provide offices and classrooms. The lower level has a large room for church social functions.
A new rear entrance (below) was built in 2001 with an elevator to provide for handicapped members and guests.
