Howard who reinstalled the gate which was removed from the front church
entrance.

| The
Good Shepherd List: |
| The
Good Shepherd List draws together all the members of Deer Creek
Harmony in a network for prayer and attention. Elders are linked
with members of the congregation and pray for them regularly, learn
to know "their" parishioners by name and communicate timely
news should the need arise. Members may also contact these elders
should a need arise in their own lives or the lives of people they
love.
|
| |
|
The
congregation offers prayers as requested for our members and friends.
We print the list in the weekly bulletin and keep contact with those
who are lifted up in prayer. |

| Home
Communion & Visiting: |
|
As
an extension of the Lord's Supper served to our congregation, communion
is taken to our homebound members and regular visits are made. |
|
| Hands
of the Healer: |
Help
fills a variety of needs of members on a one-time, short-term or
long-term basis. Includes soup- and casserole-making and delivery,
help with shopping and help with special receptions (memorial, anniversaries,
birthdays, etc.) |
| |
| CareNotes: |
CareNotes
are pamphlets offering encouragement and advice on topics such as
grief, depression, anger, dealing with serious illness. These notes
are available at the rear of the sanctuary. |
| |
| Thinking
of You Cards and Seasonal Baskets: |
We
remember our church family with personal cards on birthdays, anniversaries,
graduation, etc. and gift baskets for homebound members at the holidays. |
| |
| Fellowship: |
We
enjoy being together and if the occasion involves food and laughter
-- so much the better! Covered dish luncheons, coffee hours after
Sunday worship and seasonal festivities are all part of our life
together. The "UPs" group is a new fellowship held on
Wednesdays from 4 to 7pm for relaxed socializing. Come-as-you-can,
as-you-are, and bring an unfinished project to stitch, craft, or
carve. Gather ideas and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment that
you finally got one thing done! For more information, call the church
office at 410-734-6087. |
